A wandering bee came into our living room through the patio door. Turtle tried to get the bee back out the way it came in. I asked him to squash the damn thing and be done with it but he insisted on using the more humane method. He took two sheets of paper and started to slowly shoo and guide the bee to the door. I thought of grabbing a broom and sending the creature packing fast but I was not getting near a determined animal lover. So I left him to his devices.
Just as I picked up the iron and resumed my ironing in the second bedroom, I heard “oooof…oooof!!!” and then CRASH!
Scared out of my wits and thinking the worst (and by worst I mean my dear 46-inch television)…..I ran out to the living room where I saw Turtle picking himself up and dusting off specks of glass. He had fallen through our glass coffee table. All because of one silly bee.
“Well,” I said, “the good news is that the bee is gone.”
“Hey, I did something nice,” he replied.
“Yeah. That damn creature won’t live past next week… and meanwhile, I no longer have a coffee table,” I said as I went into the bathroom to get the first aid kit for his bleeding hand.
Damn animal lovers.
Oh dear………..bless him though 🙂
Oh dear, what a softie, I am turning into an animal lover myself.
Anyway, lovely price by the way.
Better glass than a bee sting…and the bee didnt leave some honey I’m sure..harumph!
I’m sorry but I just had to laugh. This is a clear case of “You should have just listened to your girlfriend!”.
Well at least the bee is safe and sound somewhere, unless it went right out the house and stung someone and then died.
Kpele on the coffee table.
I won’t lie…I laughed
Sorry about the coffee table tho….He’s gonna buy you guys a new one…I know you’re sure of it…x
